R. Jothilingam. I worked as a Station Superintendent in Southern Railways, in Kudal Nagar, Madurai, in South India. I retired from Railways in November 2013. I am a graduate in Mathematics in 1974.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I got the &#8220;<b>Ramanujan Award 2016 &#8211; In India<\/b>&#8221; from the\u00a0<b>All India Ramanujan Maths Club, New Delhi<\/b>, at the Eleventh National Mathematics Convention, in Ahmadabad on 26-11-2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2014, I got\u00a0<b>FIRST PLAC<\/b>E in a worldwide puzzles contest, conducted by the Facebook group &#8220;Puzzle Duzzle Custom&#8221; for <b>Most Genuine Puzzles<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2017, I made<b> FIVE MATHS WORLD RECORDS<\/b>\u00a0on 22-09-2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 22-12-2017, I got\u00a0<b>&#8220;India&#8217;s Top 100 Math Genius Award&#8221;\u00a0<\/b>at National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 17-09-2022, I received the &#8220;<strong>Innovation in Mathematics Award<\/strong>&#8221; in the 16th National Mathematics convention held at Pratapgarh, Madhya Pradesh, India.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 22-12-2022, I performed a <strong>World Record Event<\/strong> on Magic Squares recognized by <strong>Kalam&#8217;s World Records<\/strong>. For this, <strong>1,729 students together made 17,290 date-of-birth Magic Squares on the Birthday of the Great Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan &#8211; 22-12-1887<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This website is an exciting collection of mind-boggling and fun-filled puzzles, and Mathematical diversions. I have collected some my own new ideas, which I hope you will find interesting. I hope this will help eliminate &#8220;<strong><em>MathPhobia<\/em><\/strong>&#8221; among students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Learn these simple techniques and implement them in your practical life and outperform others&#8230;!! This has proved to be useful for thousands of kids and students who have attended my <a title=\"Jollymaths sessions\" href=\"http:\/\/jollymaths.com\/my-sessions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">workshops\/ sessions<\/a>. I began to collect Magic squares some 15 years back, and started extending the concepts further from where I picked up. I have worked on a variety of novel puzzles including the <strong>Magic square inside a magic square, Biography magic squares, Encrypted Sudokus, Diamond Inlaid Magic squares, World&#8217;s biggest sudoku with 1,60,000 squares<\/strong> etc. I am conducting 2-4 hours <a title=\"My Sessions\" href=\"http:\/\/jollymaths.com\/my-sessions\/\">session<\/a> in Schools and Colleges on <strong>&#8220;FUN MATHS AND MIND GAMES&#8221;.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So far I have conducted my programs in 200 schools and colleges, throughout India. Nearly 50,000 students benefitted so far.\u00a0 <strong>Also I am conducting my own Maths Exhibition with around 130 Puzzles (85 A-3 size exhibits, around 30 A-4 exhibits and around 15 big exhibits (3 meters by 2 meters).\u00a0 <\/strong>Now I am working on pushing the concepts\/ boundaries and setting Guinness World Records in the following fields:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Magic squares from 3 x 3 upto any highest number one can imagine. (Additionally, I have also found out around 200 different ways of forming 6&#215;6 Magic squares)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Magic squares inside the magic square (5 x 5 upto 100 x 100 and programmed upto 1500 x 1500)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">World&#8217;s biggest Sudokus. Normally Sudokus are of size 9 x 9, having a total of 81 numbers. I have done a Sudoku with 400 x 400 (total 1,60,000 squares) which is the\u00a0World&#8217;s biggest Sudoku. My Sudokus have additional properties in them.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Multiplication using Hand fingers (in a set of 6-10,11-15, 16-20&#8230; 91-95, 96-100) and above. Also there are three different methods of multiplication using hand fingers.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">I can be able to multiply 75 x 75 in more than 10 different ways.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are many types of enthrilling special Magic Squares and some are compiled here for you. Hope you enjoy them!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I have two sons. My elder son,\u00a0<a title=\"Home page of Ramnath Babu\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ramnathbabu.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr. Ramnath Babu T J<\/a>, has finished his B.Tech. (Mech.) at\u00a0<a title=\"National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nitt.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Institute of Technology, Tiruchy<\/a>, in Tamilnadu, India. He then completed his Direct Ph.D. in the department of Mechanical Engg., at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iisc.ernet.in\/\">Indian Institute of Science<\/a>, Bangalore. He has Co-founded <a title=\"BendFlex R &amp; D- Home page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bendflex.in\/index.php?ref=jollymaths\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BendFlex R &amp; D<\/a>, a medical devices company with expertise in compliant-mechanism based design, based in Bengaluru.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My second son,\u00a0<a title=\"Home Page of Raghunath Babu\" href=\"http:\/\/raghunathbabu.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Raghunath Babu T J<\/a>\u00a0completed his B.E. (E.E.E) at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.annauniv.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai<\/a>, Tamilnadu, India. He then worked for BHEL, Bangalore. He pursued his MBA at the\u00a0<a title=\"Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad\" href=\"http:\/\/www.iimahd.ernet.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA)<\/a>. After a short stint at Axis Bank, he Co-founded BendFlex. He is currently working for Amazon.<\/p>\n<p>My sons have helped me by convert all my ideas into computer programs that has helped me to reduce my computation time dramatically.<\/p>\n<p>And all of this would not have been possible without the support of my wife Kokila, who has been a constant source of encouragement throughout my journey.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">I hope you will find these information useful.
